A little long time ago, I bought two camera ribbon sets at "Alles für Selbermacher". At this time, there had been rare colors, but now, you can get them with 7 different colors. Now, I have a new camera and so, I wanted to have a own, unique ribbon. The black one is mine, the silver one for my sister and my brother-in-law.

I used parts of a minicharmpack by Moda - from "Meadow Bloom" by April Rosenthal. I stiffed the fabric ribbon a little bit with Pellon Fusible Featherweight (911FF). Mine is already in use and my sister's one will it be soon.

Ein lang versprochenes Giveaway!

OMG!

OMG! How time flies by and I admit, sometimes I get over somethings. August is my month of "holidays": wedding anniversary, anniversary, my birthday and the birthday of my blog! Isn't this a reason to make a giveaway? The last one dates back for a little while.

http://fleckchensquilt.blogspot.de/2015/09/ein-lang-versprochenes-giveaway.html

My blog is four years and one month old today! Amazing! And essentially you all are the reason! If you won't comment so much, I would certainly have finished this. So, a huge Thank you to all of you out there!

And I like to thank you for the many acquaintances and friendships, which came by your and my blog! I'm always fascinated, how a hobby can bring people together and that this people will get well with eachother. Some of them, I was able to get to know in "real life" and that makes me happy.

Also mal los:

In my opinion, there has to be a little statistic with a blog birthday. So, here it comes:
- my blog is 4 years and 1 month old today
- 64641 visitors came to my blog
- 264 posts have been published
- you wrote 1391 lovely coments
- 76 follows by Google
- 31 follows by bloglovin'
- I don't know how many people follow by e-mail, but I know, that there are some (I'm thankful for your hints!)
- most of visitors come from Germany, USA and Russia (yes, sometimes I visit some Russian blogs, so this could be true), closed followed by Switzerland
- the most popular post is about my Bionic Gear Bagin

Na? Na?

So, and now something about the giveaway! Are you curius about what you can win? Are you? Are you? ;D Some months ago, I bought a Layer Cake of the "Chirp Chirp" line by Moda. I wanted to sew a baby blanket, but in any reason it isn't finished and I don't know why, but I don't like all of the fabrics any more (and it's really hard to split up with some others, too. And what does Bonnie Hunter always say? "If you don't like the fabric, it's not cut up to the right size!" 38 10"-squares had been left and I cut them up into little squares. And from the this new packages you can win:

1. prize: one Charmpack of 5" großen Quadraten
2. prize: two Mini-Charmpacks of 2,5" Quadraten
3. prize: one Mini-Charmpack of 2,5" Quadraten

I don't give a garanty that every square are perfectly cut to 5" or 2,5" - I'm not a machine.

Und hier sind sie!
And here they are!

And what will you have to do to win? I've seen the rafflecopter on many other blogs. Very useful and because I like to give you up to three chances, I will use it this time. You can get one fortune by:

1. Leave a comment and tell me, what you will sew with this fabrics.
2. Leave a second comment and tell me how you follow (Bloglovin', Google, E-Mail oder reading regurlarly...)
3. Promote this giveaway and tell me in a third comment, how you did this. For this you can use the logo. Here is the HTML-Code:

*gg*

Now, it took nearly two weeks fot a new post - OMG! To much time, but the past weeks happened too much. Both at work and private. Among others, I was in Berlin again. I was in the underground of Stuttgart and organized many things for our wedding. There is soooooo much left to do and to organize and to book and to decide and so on....
But today! Today, I slept in thorougly and then at last sit at my sewing machine. So, six new blocks of the Tula Pink City Sampler were born. It took the longest time to choose the fabrics and for some blocks I'm not sure at all, if I will substitute one fabric. Me and my decisions... *gg*

During the last week I worked on at my little modern quilt. It got a border and I began to quilt. I imagine to make it like a doodle quilting. The crosses will be sink-stitched and the rest will be filled. I began with stippling and continued with clams. But I did rip them out at the same day. Call me crazy, but I didn't like them and I think, they didn't fit to the modern design of the quilt. There isn't a picture at all, but will make one, when going on quilting.

Hello out there,

thank you for your comments! Same here when I saw the utensilo for the first time. I thought about everything else but an utensilo.
The mystery was so fun to me, so here is another one: What's on the picture?

Ok, and now the solution of the second mystery from yesterday - but attention! Long Post! ^^ It's a new project. Last year, I got a charm pack of the zen chic by moda fabrics by Saskia. And the day before yesterday I began to sew a top out of them. There were lots of ideas, but most of them not a good idea for only one charm pack. In the end I sew two 1/2"-strips into every square. But I made a mistake by cutting four squares. *merde^4* There aren't any alternative fabrics and nothing fitting into my stock. Have a look at the next picture. The "wrong" squares broke up the woven pattern of the strips. But yesterday in the evening I played with the squares in PowerPoint , so  they don't touch with the same fabric or colour of strips. Not as easy as I thought. And then I was totally happy. Everything fits. Today in the morning, I displayed them - and what happened? The third square of the first row had been mirrored. So it doesn't fit.... *merde* So, everything from the start... Do you know the puzzles, where you have to fit the parts right the other way together? They don't fit ever. Ok, by now, I decided to substitute the "wrong" squares with squares out of the strip fabrics (by the way wonderful fabrics by Stof). The last picture shows the new designed without the "wrong" squares. Hopefully, I can show you the finished top today in the evening.

Ok, and now my technical questions - actually two:
At my blog, there is the list of the blogs, I follow, at the left side. But for some weeks I cannot adopt new blogs to the list. In the approaches, you can choose the blogs, you read/follow. I can choose them and save the approach. But they don't appear to my blog at all. Do you have the same problems? I'm very sad about it, because by this list, I find the most new blogs and I think, this is the best way to get new follower.
My second "problem" relates to my profile. Most of your profiles shows a list with your personal infos, the yours blogs and the blogs, you follow. When clicking on my profil, I always see my Google+-page and I cannot find a list with my blogs, I follow. How can I loose this link? I cannot find a tutorial on the Google+-Helppage, too.
It would be really great, if anyone could help me. I'm so sad about thinks don't work or I cannot set them right.

And now, I will sew my top together. Between the squares, there will be nice and fancy gray srips. Maybe/hopefully I can start quilting today, too. This is the part I'm looking forword to the most.

neue Sofakissen

Last weekend I got hold of my little charmpack "Shades of Black" by Moda and I wanted to sample my new "Queen Size Surpreme Slider", too. And as my sofa needs some new and larger cusions, I started a new pillowcase. I think, the black and white fabrics form a great pattern respectivly a great contrast to the red quilting thread. Either you see the pattern of the materials or the quilt pattern. And of course the thread ran out on the last fifth. So, I combed through the net and ordered supply. Well, then I had no black and white fabrics for the back anymore. They are already bought. It will surely be finished during this week. The freemotion quilting was really so much fun. It was so handsome because of the slider. Maybe the flames and spirals aren't so wiggly and evenly like Leah Day's, but you know, practice makes perfect. I tried ot the the pattern for the first time. Apart from this, I tried my new clear 1/4"-feet. You can also sink-stich, too. It has two different beat-ups, you can switch or leave it out. The red "cross" I've applied retrospectively. It is lined with fusible web and a great eye-catcher with a 3D effect.
