Noch eine Krabbeldecke

Nächsten Sonntag ist der errechnete Geburtstermin für das zweite Kind eines Kollegen. Und da das erste Kind schon eine Krabbeldecke bekommen hat, muss das zweite doch auch eine bekommen. Und das ist das Layout. Einfache 60°-Dreiecke. Jetzt muss ich nur noch die Zeit finden, sie zusammen zu nähen. ;)

Next Sunday will be the calculated birthday by my colleague's second child. And the first one got a baby planket. So, the second one will get his or her own. And that's my layout. Simple 60° triangles. Now, I will just have to find some time to sew them together. ;)

Minitop fertig

Gestern habe ich mein Top fertig genäht und heute schnell gequiltet und das Binding soweit vorbereitet, dass ich in den nächsten Tagen es nur noch mit der Hand hinten annähen muss. Und mit schnell quilten meine ich auch schnell, denn die Spirale war in unter 45min fertig und das Binding hat mich bestimmt auch keine halbe Stunde gekostet. Ich habe mich entschlossen, es nahezu komplett nach hinten umzuschlagen. So ist nur ein ca. 1-2mm breiter Rand zu sehen. Ich mag diese Optik bei kleinen Quilts besonders gerne, da so das Binding nicht zu dominant wird. Und jetzt gehe ich ganz schnell uns Bett, denn Rafael will bestimmt gleich noch einmal trinken. ;) Gute Nacht euch allen und eine schöne Woche!

Yesterday I finished the mini-top and today I could quilt it really fast and prepare the binding so I will have to fix it at the back by hand during the next days. And with fast I really mean fast. Quilting the spiral took me less than 45min and the binding around 30min. I decided to flip it nearly complete over to the back so only 1-2mm can be seen. I like this kind of binding because it's not to dominant at this little quilt. And now, I will go to sleep, because Rafael surly wants his last drink for the day soon. ;)

Kleinvieh macht auch Mist

Heute konnte ich mal wieder an die Nähmaschine. Man entwickelt da so ein Händchen für kleine und schnelle Projekte. Für die nächsten Babys sind noch mal drei Schnullerbänder entstanden. Und heute Abend habe ich die Dreiecke, die von den Hexagons für meinen Hexatris übrig geblieben sind, angefangen zu verarbeiten. Das geht erstaunlich schnell und ich will schauen, dass ein kleiner Wandbehang entsteht.

Vielen lieben Dank euch allen für die lieben Kommentare zu meinen letzten Posts! Und entschuldigt bitte, wenn ich im Moment nicht bei euch allen kommentiere. Ich versuche zwar möglichst alles zu lesen, komme aber im Moment einfach nur wenig zum Schreiben.

Today, I could use my sewing machine again. You are developing to have a knack for small and fast done projects. For the next babys I have sewn three pacifier ribbons. And tonight I pulled out the leftover triangles of my Hexatris quilt and started to sew a little wall hanging.
