Oktober-Planung

Der Oktober hat angefangen und auch hier im Süden damit der Herbst. Mal schauen, was von meinen Plänen am Ende des Monats übrig bleibt. Und wie üblich gilt: Alles kann, nichts muss und wenn noch was dazwischen kommt *gg*: immer her damit!

October has begin and also autumn has arrived. So, let's see, which of my plans will be checked up at the end. As always: Every thing can, nothing has to - and if something will be interupting *gg* it's welcome!

Also fangen wir mal an... Jaja, ich höre euch schon wieder unken: Das ist doch VIEL zu VIEL! - Recht habt ihr! Das schafft sie doch nie - sie hat doch noch ein kleines Kind UND einen Job! Recht habt ihr, aber Herausvorderungen wollen angenommen werden, oder? *gg*

1. Mein erstes großes Ziel ist es, das Top für den Bettüberwurf für meine Schwester zu erstellen inkl. Rückseite. 2,70m x 2,90m soll er groß werden! ... Jaja, größenwahnsinnig, aber es ist gar nicht so schlimm, wie es sich anhört. Jedenfalls nicht für mich, denn ich werde ihn wieder zum Quilten zu Romy Bügers schicken. Auf jeden Fall wird dies auch mein OMG für diesen Monat.

My first and biggest goal is to sew the top and back of the bedspread for my sister. It shall have a size of 2.7m x 2.9m - megalomaniac, isn't it? *gg* But it isn't as hard to sew as you may think at the moment. Stay tuned! Nethertheless it will be my OMG for October.

2. Rafi braucht unbedingt noch eine Mütze und eine Übergangsjacke sowie Winterjacke. Die Übergangsjacke soll eine Softshell-Jacke nach Schnabelina werden und die Winterjacke eine neue Jakkel für den Herrn. Die Stoffe etc. liegen alle bereit. Die Winterjacke werde ich aber sicherlich nicht diesen Monat schaffen.

Rafi needs an second beanie hat and two jackets. One between-seasons jacket and one winter jacket. Both made of softshell. I'm sure, the winter jacket won't be finished at the end of the month.

3. Da ich für den Herrn nur ganz schwierig Hosen finde, die oben rum schmal genug sind, muss er wohl noch ein, zwei bekommen. Ich habe die Tage ein neues Freebook gefunden - "einfäl(l)tig" wird ausprobiert.

Because it's nearly impossible to find such skinny trousers for the little man, I will surely have to sew one or two new one. One will be sewn after a new freebook, I found.

4. Dann will ich noch ein Fensterbild malen und damit den Herbst willkommen heißen. Zu Rafis 2ten Geburtstag habe ich schon eines ausprobiert und bin dem Charme verfallen.

And, something without sewing: I like to make a autumn window painting with chalc painters like I did for Rafi's 2nd bithday.

5. Und dann ist ENDLICH mal ein Brotkorb für uns selbst fällig. Jedes Wochenende nervt es mich, dass wir keinen haben. Und dabei sollte das ja nun die kleinste Übung sein. Am schwierigsten wird es sein, den Stoff auszuwählen. *gg*

And THEN I really want to sew a bread basket for ourself. Every weekend, I nerved not to have one. That cannot be as hard, can it? The hardest work will be to choose the fabric. *gg*

6. Ach, und dann habe ich mich ja noch auf Instagram beim #QuiltersAdventcalendar angemeldet. Da sollte ich auch mal mit anfangen, denn am 1.11. sollen sie ankommen, damit sie rechtzeitig weiter verteilt werden können.

Oh, and I registered to the Instagram #QuiltersAdventcalendar. I will have to start my sewing for this.

7. Bei Ulrike hat der Christmas-Quietbook-SAL angefangen. Da es ein Weihnachtsgeschenk für unseren Lütten sein soll, werde ich versuchen, dort up-to-date zu bleiben.

Ulrike started her Christmas Quietbook SAL yesterday. Being a Christmas gift for Rafael, I will try to stay up-to-date.

Und wer jetzt laut "Werbung" schreit wegen den ganzen Links - jupp, alles unbezahlt und ist ein Link nicht immer irgendwie Werbung? ;-P

Ach, habe ich erwähnt, dass meine Eltern uns in 3 Wochen besuchen kommen? Wir freuen uns schon, aber die Nähzeit wird weniger. *hüstl* Aber dafür wollen meine Mutter, eine Freundin und ich nach Würzburg auf die Handmade - eine Premiere für meine Mutter.

Oh, did I tell you, that my parents will come to visit us in 3 weeks? We are so happy about it, but sewing time will be less during this days. But my Mom, a friend of mine and me, we will go and visit the Handmade in Würzburg.

Christmas Tree QAL III

Diese Woche geht's natürlich weiter beim Christmas Tree QAL bei Aylin und Sandra. Bei mir gibt's heute Block #10 - komplett Paper Piecing und teilweise etwas friemelig. Genau das, was ich mag! :D

This week, the Christmas Tree QAL by Aylin and Sandra is going on, for sure. Here is my block #10 - completly made by Paper Piecing and sometimes real itsy bitsy. That's what I like! :D

Am Wochenende darf ich dann wieder an einem Kurs von Elsbeth Nusser-Lampe teilnehmen. Thema ist dieses Mal "Aus den Blumengärten - Christrosen". Ich bin schon sehr gespannt.

This weekend, I'm able to join another class by Elsbeth Nusser-Lampe. This time the theme is "Out of the flower garden - Christmas rose". I'm really curios about it.

By the way: Plant jemand von Euch, nächste Woche auf die "Handmade" in Würzburg zu gehen? Ich denke, ich werde hinfahren und freue mich schon darauf, u.a. einen meiner Lieblingsshop - Wuilt Cabin - wiederzu sehen.

By the way: Is anyone of you planing to visit the "Handmade" at Würzburg next week? I think, I will and I'm looking forward to see f.e. one of my favorite quilt shops - Quilt Cabin - again.

Handmade 2014 in Delmenhorst mit Jeannette und Julie

Hallo ihr Lieben!

Bei Jeannette konntet ihr ja schon einen ersten Bericht zur Handmade lesen. Ich habe mich sooooo gefreut, sie kennenzulernen und gleichzeitig meine beste Freundin Julie wiederzusehen! Jeannette ist so nett und lustig. Wir werden uns bestimmt mal wiedersehen! Und das ist eine Drohung - äh Versprechen, liebe Jeannette. ;o)
Eingekauft habe ich natürlich auch einiges, aber alles hat in eine kleine Papiertüte gepasst. So konnte ich meine Beute gut meinem GöGa "verkaufen". *gg* Aber schaut selbst. Genauso wie Jeannette habe ich Knöppe gekauft (und teilweise sogar die gleichen, wie ich jetzt festgestellt habe ^^). Und dann gab es auch einen Stand mit Razzle Dazzle-Garn von Superior Thread. Von dieser Marke stammt auch mein Lieblingsgarn King Tut. Es ist ein etwas breiteres Mettalicgarn, welches man für einen schönen Farbakzent nehmen kann. Allerdings kann man es "nur" für Couching, Bobbin Play oder Handstickereien verwenden. Wenn ihr mal Beispiele sehen wollt, schaut mal auf Leslies Blog. Sie ist eine wahre Künstlerin im Couching und Bobbin Play. Naja, ein paar Stoffe mussten natürlich auch sein. Für meinen Amish-Quilt habe ich noch ein paar Ergänzungsstoffe gekauft und dann konnte ich von ein paar weiteren nicht die Finger lassen. Wie das halt so ist. Schaut euch mal die Filzblüte an! Die ist doch wunderschön, oder? Und dann mussten noch ein paar Helferlein mit.
Am Stand der Patchwerkstatt konnte man sich so schöne Quilts mit wunderschönem Quilting ansehen. Eine Ausstellung der Patchwork Gilde gab es auch. Aber die Quilts habe ich alle schon in Berlin gesehen, weswegen ich sie nicht noch einmal fotografiert haeb.
Abends waren Julia und ich noch was Essen und Cocktails trinken. Wir hatten wirklich einen schönen Tag! Und gestern Abend ging es dann mit dem Flieger wieder nach Stuttgart zurück. Wir hatten so einen schönen Sonnenuntergang mit aufgehendem Mond. Und laut Copilot konnte man vom Cockpit aus die Alpen sehen. Schön, oder? So, und jetzt geht es endlich wieder an die Krabbeldecke. Der Countdown läuft!

Hello my dears!

At Jeannette's blog you could read a first report about the Handmade. I was soooooo happy to get to know her and at the same time meet my best friend Julie again! Jeannette is so nice and funny. We will surely meet again! And this is a threat - äh a promise, dear Jeannette. ;o)
For sure I did buy something, but all fit into a little paper bag. So I could get the o.k. by my husband. *gg* But have a look. As Jeannette I bought some buttons (and some are the same like Jeannette bought ^^). And then I could some some Razzle Dazzle thread by Superior Thread. It's the same brand like my favorite thread King Tut. It is a wider metallic thread, which you can use for a nice color-accent. But you can "only" use them for handstitching, couching and bobbin play. If you want to get to know a little bit about this look at Leslie's blog. She is a real artist in couching and bobbin play. Ok, I had to buy some fabrics, too. For my Amish-quilt I got some addition fabrics and I couldn't resist of some other, too. That's just how it is. Have you seen the amazing felt-flower. Isn't it beautiful? And some little helper had to come with me.
At the stand of the Patchwerkstatt you could have seen wonderful quilts with amazing quilting. There was an exhibition of the Patchwork Gilde, too, but I had already seen the quilts in Berlin. So I didn't take photos again.
In the evening Julia and me had a nice meal and cocktails. We really had a nice day! And yesterday, in the evening, we flew back to Stuttgart. We saw a really amazing sundown with a rising moon. And like the copilot told us, you could have see the Alps out of the cockpit. Amzing, isn't it? So, and now, I will go to the baby quilt. The clock is ticking!

Handmade 2014 in Delmenhorst - wer ist dabei?

Hallo ihr Lieben!

Am kommenden Wochenende findet die Handmade 2014 in Delmenhorst statt. Ich werde, sofern es keinen neuen Pilotenstreik gibt, am Samstag mit meiner besten Freundin dabei sein. Ich freue mich zusätzlich schon total auf Jeannette von Nähyoga. Wir treffen uns das erste mal im "Real Life" und ich bin sooooooo gespannt! Kommt noch jemand von Euch am Samstag auf die Messe? Wenn ja und wenn ihr Lust habt, mich (und vielleicht auch Jeannette) mal kennen zu lernen, meldet Euch doch bitte einfach bei mir. :)

the next weekend, there will be the Handmade 2014 in Delmenhorst. I will be there on Saturday with my best friend, if there won't be another strike of the pilots. And I'm so excited to meet Jeannette by Nähyoga. We will first meet eachother in "real life" and I am soooooooo curios about it! Is anyone else coming to the fair on Saturday?
