Verspätete KreativKiste

Bei der ersten Runde der KreativKiste haben wir die MakeUp-Tasche nach "So Sew Easy" genäht. Meine ging ja an eine Freundin und wird dort fleißig genutzt. Für mich selber wollte ich auch noch eine nähen und ihr kennt das ja sicherlich... ;o) ...dann dauert es manchmal bis man dazu kommt. Und da ich ja jetzt ca. 14 Monate nicht zur Arbeit muss (Hatte ich noch gar nicht erwähnt, oder? Ich habe jetzt drei Wochen Urlaub bevor mein Mutterschutz und dann irgendwann die Elternzeit losgeht.) und der Wurm mich bis jetzt "nur" tritt und boxt, nutze ich die Zeit noch um an der NäMa zu sitzen. Also habe ich gestern und heute noch eine MakeUp-Tasche genäht und den Schnitt nach meinen Wünschen angepasst. Ich liebe ja die "Open Wide Zipper Pouches" von Noodlehead mit ihrer riesigen Öffnung. Also habe ich den Schnitt nicht nach oben abgeschrägt sondern gerade gelassen. Dadurch wird die Tasche zwar breiter, aber die Öffnung ist einfach genial. Zusätzlich habe ich noch innen kleine Fächer ergänzt, damit so etwas wie Mascara etc.nicht wild durcheinander fliegen und einfach griffbereit sind. Ein wenig groß ist sie ja schon, aber es ist auch erstaunlich, was frau so alles über die Zeit ansammelt, oder? ;o)

During the first round of "KreativKiste" we'd sewn the cosmetic bag by "So Sew Easy". Mine was for a good friend of mine and she is everyday in use. I wanted to sew another one for myself, but I think, you how it goes... ;o) ...sometimes it tooks a little bit longer. And because by now, I don't have to work for the next 14 months (Did I mentioned it before? There are three weeks of vacation before my maternity protection and parental leave will start.) and the little man is "only" hitting and boxing me by now, I try to use my time for sewing. So, I've sewn yesterday and today another cosmetic bag and changed the pattern to my wishes. I love the "Open Wide Zipper Pouches" by Noodlehead with its huge opening. So, I didn't slant the pattern to the top. By this, the bag got bigger, but the opening is so genious. Additionally, I added some pouches inside, so mascara and so on won't mess up and everything is handy. Ok, the bag is a little bit huge, but isn't it funny, how many things a woman can collect through the years? ;o)

Genäht habe ich sie aus Korkstoff, Baumwolle, Wachstuch und laminierten Stoff. Die 3er-Paspeln mag ich total gerne und inzwischen bekomme ich auch das Annähen ganz gut hin. Als ich den Baumwollstoff gesehen habe, wusste ich sofort, dass daraus meine MakeUp-Tasche in Kombination mit dem schwarzen Korkstoff entstehen sollte.

I've sewn the bag with corc fabric, cotton, waxed and laminated fabric. I really love the 3times-piping and in the meanwhile, I know how to sew them on somethng. When I saw the cotton fabric the first time, I knew, that I wanted to make my cosmetic bag out of it.

Vorgestern habe ich auch noch ein wenig meinen Nähtisch aufgeräumt und dabei zwei Reststücke von einer Kellerfaltentasche gefunden. Die habe ich nun noch zu einer weniteren kleinen Tasche zusammengenäht und die gleiche Freundin wird sie beim nächsten Treffen bekommen, um ihr Set zu erweitern.

The day before yesterday, I tidied up my sewing table and found two pieces of  a box pleat bag. So, I've sewn another little one and the same friend will get, when we will meet the next time, to enlarge her set.

Rückblick FNSI/Wochenende

Hach, ihr Lieben!!! Ihr seid so süß! Vielen, vielen Dank für Eure liegen Wünsche und Kommentare!!! Ihr habt mich wirklich gerührt!Mir geht es wirklich schon deutlich besser, auch wenn manchmal mich manches Schwangerenzipperlein, von dem man schon mal gehört hat, zwischendurch echt umhaut. Das kann man sich vorher einfach nicht vorstellen. *gg* Aber zum Glück habe ich da ein paar liebe Freundinnen, die mir mit Rat und Tat zur Seite stehen. Nächste Woche gibt es ein neues Fotoshooting und wir sind schon sehr gespannt!

I'm really fine at the moment, although sometimes some pragnancy gouts, you heard before, but cannot imagine, that they could be such heavy, really bowl me over. *gg* But luckily I have some really gently friends, who help with words and deeds. Next week, there will be a new photo shooting and we are totally excited!

Freitag war ja nun wieder einmal ein FNSI angesagt. Und was macht Frau da? Schlafen! Ich bin einfach aufm Sofa eingeschlafen. Ich schieb das jetzt mal auf die Hormone. *gg* Toll, wenn man solche Ausreden hat. Ich habe das ganze dann mal zum S(aturday)NSI umgetauft. Ich hoffe Wendy, das ist auch ok.

Friday was FNSI again. And what did I do? Sleeping! I fell asleep right on the couch. I lay the blame on the hormones. *gg* It's great to have such excuses. So, I changed it into a S(aturday)NSI. I hope, that's ok, Wendy.

Dieses Wochenende war bei mir zwei Tage lang Pflicht und erst heute Abend die Kür angesagt. Gestern habe ich erst einmal versucht, dem (Umzugs)Chaos in meinem Kreativzentrum Herr... äh.... Frau zu werden. Schaut euch mal den Nähtisch an. Geht doch gar nicht, oder? ;-P

This weekend, there were two days of duty and just today's evening freestyle. Yesterday, I thried first to get the Master of the situation in my creavity center. Have a look at my sewing table. That's not ok, isn't it? ;-P

Immerhin habe ich mein "Nicht-Patchwork-Bastelregal" ordentlich ein- bzw. aufräumen könne. Ok, bevor ich das machen konnte, musste ich unter die vorderen Füße erst einmal 1cm Holz schieben - so krumm ist der Boden in dem alten Haus, in dem wir wohnen. Dann konnte ich einräumen. Das hat schon einmal ein paar Kartons leer gemacht und Ordnung ins nicht vorhandene System gebracht. Ich liebe ja die durchsichtigen Kunststoffboxen vom blau-gelben Schweden. Ich habe alleine drei Boxen nur für Stifte und Kreiden gebraucht. Wahnsinn, oder?

Anyway, I got my "non-quilting-shelf" tidied up. Ok, before I could do this, I had to put 1cm thick pieces under the front bases - the floor of the house, in which we are living, is such buckled. After this I could move all the things in. So, some boxes got empty and it put a little bit of order to the system. I love this clear boxes by the blue-yellow Swede. I filled three boxes only with pencils and crayons. That's rediculous, isn't it?

Gestern Nachmittag bzw. Abend habe ich mich dann der Näh-Pflicht gewidmet. Seit September letzten Jahres warteten noch zwei von drei versprochenen. Schlimm, oder? Es waren eine Handyladestation

Yesterday, in the afternoon, I could concentrate myself on my sewing-duties. Last September last year, I promised three little presents for a birthday and still had to sew two of them. That's really bad, isn't it? One was a mobile chaching station

 and a little emergency pouch. The fabric had been chosen by the birthday girl at my favorite quilting store. A little tissue pouch had been finished last year already. I must admit, that didn't like the light velvet felt not soooo much. So, I rearranged the ribbon on it.

und ein Notfall-Täschchen für unterwegs. Die Stoffe hatte sich das Geburtstagskind in meinem Lieblings-Patchworkladen ausgesucht. Eine TaTüTa hatte es schon letztes Jahr bekommen. Ich muss gestehen, dass ich das Flieder vom Filz schon etwas heftig fand. Deswegen habe ich das Webband auf dem Filz wiederholt.

Die Tasche ist innen mit Wachstuch genäht, damit sie im Notfall auswischen kann. Von außen ist sie eine "Wendetasche". Was man nur erahnen kann, ist, dass es eine Kellerfaltentasche ist. Die Stoffrolle bestand aus lila und grünen Stoffen. Und da ich nicht wusste, was dem Geburtstagskind besser gefällt, kann es sich das aussuchen. In den Falten ist dann immer die "andere" Farbgruppe untergebraucht. Das Täschchen hat auch gleich eine Erstausstattung bekommen und das Geburtstagskind hat sich sehr gefreut.

Inside the pouch I used some waxed fabric, so you can clean it if necessary. Outside it's a turnaround pouch. Maybe you can imagine the box pleats. The fabric role is made of velvet and green fabric. And I didn't know, which fabric my friend likes most. So, in the pleat, there is the "other" color-sheme. The pouch got a little basic equipment and the birthday girl was really happy about it.

Und dann kam heute Abend auch noch die Kür - Sushi für Schwangere! D.h. der Fisch ist einfach mariniert und gebraten worden und *schwupp* darf auch ich es wieder essen. *jamjam* Kein (reguläres) Sushi ist für mich Sushi-Junkie echt eine Qual und ich freue mich jetzt schon auf den Moment, in dem ich wieder "normales" Sushi essen darf. *gg* Alleridngs muss ich gestehen, dass unsere Gäste ein sehr gutes Händchen bei der Wahl der Komponenten der neun Rollen bewiesen hat und es köstlich geschmeckt hat. Und da ich irgendwie schon nicht mehr so viel essen kann, habe ich morgen Abend auch noch was zum "Schnabulieren". *jamjam*

And today, in the evening, it was time for freestyle - sushi for a pregnant woman! So, it meant to marinate the fish ans fry it and so, I can eat it, too. *yummy* No (regular) sushi is really hard for me - a real sushi junkie and I will be sooo happy to eat "normal" sushi again. *gg* But, our friends made such good sushi combinations, they were really delicious. And I will eat "my" sushi again in some months. And because I cannot ear sooo much at the moment, I will have a really delicious dinner tomorrow. *yummy*

Herzlich Willkommen, 2014!!!

Ein frohes neues Jahr Euch allen da draußen in Nah und Fern!!! Ich wünsche Euch alles Gute und das 2014 ein schönes und spannendes Jahr für Euch wird! Wir, Christian und ich, sind schon sehr gespannt, was das Jahr alles für uns bringen wird. Ein paar Dinge wissen wir schon in groben Zügen, andere werden uns sicherlich überraschen. Was das Jahr wohl Euch allen bringen wird?
A Happy New Year to all of you, near and far!!! I wish you all the best and that 2014 will be a nice and exciting year for you! Christian and me, we are very excited to see, what the year will bring to us. Some things we already knew along general lines, but others will surely surprise us. What will bring the year to all of you?

Aber jetzt erst einmal wieder zum Quilten, Nähen und all den anderen schönen Dingen auf dieser Welt. Den Jahreswechsel haben wir ganz ruhig zu Hause verbracht und das Feuerwerk von unserem Küchenfenster aus genossen. Da unsere Wohnung oberhalb von Zuffenhausen liegt, hatten wir einen tollen Blick bis nach Ludwigsburg.
But now back to quilting, sewing and all the other beautiful things on this world. The turn of the year we have spent quietly at home and enjoyed the fireworks out of our kitchen window. As our apartment is situated above Zuffenhausen, we have a great few up to Ludwigsburg.

Wie habt Ihr Eure Feiertage verbracht? Wir waren wieder viel unterwegs bei Familien und Freunden. Schön war's, aber auch anstrengend. ;-) Die Nähmaschine hatte ich auch wieder mit dabei. Für meine beste Freundin musste ich noch ihr Weihnachtsgeschenk nähen. Bei der kleinen Ausstellung bei Nadel und Faden dieses Jahr, habe ich ja einen Stoff gekauft, den ich gesehen hatte und sofort wusste, dass daraus einmal eine Tasche für Julie werden sollte. Den Schnitt habe ich mir selber ausgedacht. Er ist bestimmt noch optimierbar, aber ich hoffe, dass die Tasche gefällt und oft zum Einsatz kommt. Innendrin gibt es eine Reißverschlusstasche, zwei aufgesetzte Taschen, ein Band mit Karabinerhaken für die Schlüssel und mein Label.
How did you spend the holidays? We were back on the road again to all our family and friends. It was nice, but also stressful. ;-) I also took the sewing machine with me. For my best friend, I had to sew her christmas gift. In the little exhibition at Nadel und Faden this year, I brought a fabric, which I saw and knew in a moment, that this will be a pouch for Julie. The cut is my forst own design. It can surely be optimized, but I hope, the pouch will please her and will be used right often. Inside there is a zip-bag, two patch pockets, a strap with a snap hook for the keys an my label.

Eine andere sehr gute Freundin hat eine Kellerfaltentasche bekommen. Mir fällt gerade auf, dass der Jahreswechsel eine Zeit der Taschen zu sein scheint. Denn aus den Stoffen, aus denen ich die Kellerfaltentasche genäht habe, habe ich auch noch eine Tasche für mich angefangen. Sie ist fast fertig, aber mir fehlen noch die richtigen D-Ringe und Haken für die Träger. Ich habe schon welche ich silber, aber ich hätte sie gerne doch lieber in "antik". Morgen will ich noch einmal in die Stadt und schauen, ob ich welche in der richtigen Größe bekomme. Wenn sie fertig ist, zeige ich sie euch.
Another very good friend got a box pleat bag. By now, I notice, that the turn of the year is a time of bags, because the used fabrics for this little bag, I used for another big bag for me, too. It is nearly finished, but there are still missing some D-rings and hooks for the straps. I got some silver one, but I like to have some in "antique". Tomorrow I will go into town and will see, if I can get some. When the bag will be finished, I will show it to you.

Zu Weihnachten habe ich neben all den schönen Geschenken zwei tolle Bücher bekommen. Einmal ist es ein Buch mit vielen Ideen für schöne Geschenke. Das andere ist ein Buch von Alison Holt über Threadpainting "Machine Embroidered Flowers, Woodplants and Landscapes". Es ist soooo toll und beeindruckend, wie Alison Holt Fotos in gemalte und gestickte Bilder umsetzt. Hoffentlich kann ich das auch irgendwann auch einmal.
For Christmas I got among the other nice presents two great books. One is a book with lots of ideas for beautiful presents. The other one is a book of Alison Holt about threadpainting "Machine Embroidered Flowers, Woodplants and Landscapes". It is sooooo great and impressive, how Alison Holt makes painted and embroidered pictures out of a photo. I hope, I will do this some day in the future.

Kellerfaltentasche

Bei einigen von Euch habe ich schon diese tollen Kellerfaltentaschen gesehen. Man, finde ich die schick! Und bei ***Pattydoo*** habe ich eine gute Anleitung gefunden. Ich muss gestehen, dass ich ein paar Sachen anders gemacht habe - z.B. finde ich 1cm NZG einfach zu viel. Ich glaube, von denen werde ich noch ein paar mehr nähen.
Am schönsten fand ich den Kommentar meines Freund: "Ich bin eine 'böse' schwarze Tasche! - Nein! Ich bin doch rosa und süß!" ;-)




I saw this nice box pleat bags at some of your blogs. Wow, they are so chic! And ***Pattydoo*** has a good tutorial. I must admit, that I made some thinsg different to her tutorial - I think 1cm seam allowance is really to much, for example. But this won't be the last bag I will sew.
The most I like the comment of my boy-friend: "I am a 'bad' black bag! - Oh, no! I am still pink and cute!" ;-)
