I have to hurry up with my link-up for the OMG in September. So, this will be short today.
Last Friday, I got my quilt for my 14 years old godchild back by Romy Bügers (Quilting4You). A wonderful and perfectly matching quilting for a young man. So, my OMG will be to make the binding and add a label.

Yesterday, the wedding quilt arrived at last at our friends house. And so, I can check up one of my big UFO of my long list. Many thanks again to Romy Bügers, who quilted it on her longarm.
There is still a story to tell about this quilt. But this story earns an own post.
So, I can link up one of my OMG for July and also to Klaudia's page.

Here I am again! At Friday of last week, we took of to the north of Germany. The weekend, we spent in Delmenhorst and Bremen. In Bremen, there lives my best friend with her my two godchildren. On Sunday, it was her birthday and we celebrate well past midnight and into her birthday. We laughed so much and had so much fun! Thanks, sweetheart!
On Sunday, We went on to Amrum. With the ferry it took two hours over the Wadden Sea. Fortunately, the jam wasn't too long in front of the elbe-tunnel and we reached the last ferry in time. Our host estimated us at the quay in Wittdün and the first evening was funny and very amusing. On Monday we got a short sightseeing-tour by car over the island (it didn't take much time because of 15 km length all in one and four villages. ;o) ). In the afternoon we explored the islang by bicycle. And do you know, what we have seen? Nearly nothing. *gg* The fog was so thick, we could only see about 50m. But we heard brants (more than 100) and saw them, when they flew narrow across our heads. A really crazy feeling. On a willow we saw at least 100-200 brants. If you want, you can count them.
Sehr interessant!!!
On Thursday the weather was really better. So, we made the same tour again without the fog. In Nebel (in English "fog" - a village) there is a church with an old graveyard. There are old gravestones, which had been restored sponsered by fianciers. At some of them, there stood the story of the dead people's life at the front and the back of the stone. Very interesting!!!
Uff! Der Süd-Südost-Wind kann echt hart sein. ;o) Aber sie sehen toll aus. Und den Leuchtturm haben wir auch gesehen.
In the afternoon we made the same tour by bus. The way home we went one part between the dunes and on the beach. Uff! The south-southeast-wind can be really hard. ;o) But it looks so nice. And the light house we have seen, too.
And on our way home from Amrum we stopped in Hüsby to give Saskia of Niemansland my Mystery for quilting. I was soooo happy to get Saskia to know. Until now, we only wrote to an fro by e-mail. It made so much fun to chew the fat and to talk shop. My poor husband had to hold out over one hour for me. And I am soooo excited, how the quilt will look, when Saskia has quilted it on her giant longarm-quilting-machine. But I will have to wait until mid of May, because Saskia have really lot of work to do. :o)

By the way: Wir haben auch ein wenig gequiltet!
Yesterday was the day: I went to the exposition "Nadelwelt 2013" with a friend. We left our men at home - that wouldn't be their thing. I wrote a "shopping list" - Well! - I got half of the things and the half of my shopping on my picture stood on the list:
- two alternative fabrics for the mysterie quilt
- marking pens
- old releases of the magazin "Patchwork Professional"
- black Gütermann-thread #30
- red and white fabric for the playing mats.
But I must admit, their were rather less threads to buy. I watched for some for thread painting and hardly found some. What a pity! And the rest? It jumped right into my backpack! *gg* But it was a real nice day! Next year again - in any case!
By the way: We quilted a little bit, too! You could try some logarm quilting machines. For the first try, we thought, it wasn't as bad as it could be. And although we could test only two machines, we directly recognized some differences.
