Yesterday was FNSI by Wendy. I already started on Thursday my project for the TSAL2017 - the 5-pocket-organizer by Farbenmix. The pattern, I got it day by day during the Advent calendar 2015. By now, you can buy it as an "all-in-one" pattern.
"Patch it!" was
the March theme at the TSAL2017 - the perfect theme for all the
quilters, isn't it? I used the mini-charmpack "Flow" by Moda to patch
the pouch. So fresh and springlike and I have to say - I love the pouch!
Mine is a little bit smaller than the pattern, because of the
mini-charmpack squares. The zippers and KamSnaps are chosen so they fit
with the fabric.
During the last days I've also sewn two GO'nJO! by mipamis. Actually, I wanted to make only one to be for our branch manager as a little thank-you gift. He borrowed us the side-by-side bed for our little boy. The little man was already in end of January to large for it and now, we had the possibility to give it back to him. The first one with the blue cork fabric turned out to "feminine" for my opinion with the polka dot fabric. Do you know, what I mean? That doesn't fit to an engineer, do it? So, I changed the flap's shape, used a black cork fabric and cut the sudoku fabric. But the shape is not optimal, because the turning opening gets really to small for the balky cork fabric.
And now, I have only one thing left on my todo-list: quilting the baby blanket. Should be possible until the end of March, shouldn't it? ;)
I will link-up to FNSI und #TSAL2017
