Windeltasche

So langsam geht es in die heiße Phase bei uns. Inzwischen bin ich in der 31. Woche schanger und der Bauch wird kugeliger und auch lebendiger. Immer öfter und vor allem stärker merke ich den kleinen Herrn strampeln.

Slowly the last phase begins. Now, I'm already reached the 31st week and my baby bump is getting bigger and bigger and also more agile. Much often I feel the little man struggling.

Also muss ich ja auch mal anfangen, was für ihn zu nähen. Das erste ist zwar nur indirekt etwas für ihn, aber immerhin. Eigentlich auch schnell genäht, aber die Hitze der letzten zwei Tage hat mich doch ein wenig mehr gebremst als gedacht.

So, I have to start sewing something for him. The first thing is only somehting devious, but it is. Normally it would have been sewn really fast, but the hot weather during the last two days, it really thwart me more than I would have imagine.

Genäht habe ich eine Windeltasche für unterwegs. Außen habe ich ein Mini-Charm-Pack verwendet, dass ich noch um ein paar Quadrate aus meinem Bestand erweitert habe. Innen kann man dann ein paar Windeln, Feuchttücher, ggf. Cremes etc. unterbringen. Ich bin gespannt, ob und wie oft wir sie nutzen werden.

I've sewn a littel on-tour diaper bag. The outside is made by a mini-Charm-Pack, which I enlarged by some additional square out of my stash. Inside, we can store some diapers, baby wipes, some cremes if necessary. I'm a little bit curious if and how often we will use this bag.

Zum Schluss möchte ich euch noch für eure lieben Kommentare zum Gästebuch danken! Ich war ja schon ein wenig stolz auf das Ergebnis und vor allem, weil am Ende wirklich alle Gäste etwas beigetragen haben und wir damit den Bräutigam "geknackt" haben. Gerade er hatt große Angst, dass es etwas "schlimmes" und "peinliches" sein könnte, denn das Brautpaar wusste natürlich nicht, was sie da erwartet. Beim Bedanken ist ihm fast die Stimme weggebrochen und das passiert ihm wirklich selten. ;o) Und mich hat es natürlich um so mehr gefreut! Auch die Decke ist sehr gut angekommen und die beiden freuen sich schon darauf, sich einmal drunterzukuscheln.

Last but not least, I like to thank you all for your lovely comments concerning the guest-book! I was a little bit proud about the result and especially, because in the end every single guest wrote something for the couple. By this, we really "cracked" the fiancé. It was especially him being afraid of not knewing, what will happen. Both were afraid, that something really "bad" oder "awkward" would happen. During saying thanks, he nearly loses his voice, and that is something really rare. ;o) So, I was soo happy about ist! Also the top catches on and the coupling is looking forward to the day, they can cuddle underneath it.

Gästebuch

Kennt ihr das auch von Hochzeiten? Urplötzlich und ganz unerwartet liegt es da - das Gästebuch!!! Und ihr sollt was reinschreiben! Äh, ja?! Und nu? Damit habt ihr gar nicht gerechnet - ist ja auch noch nie vorgekommen. *gg*

Do you know this situation at a wedding? Absolutly suddenly it's there - the guest book!!! And you shall write something nice and gently in it! Yeah....?! And now? Nobody could expect this, couldn't you - this hasn't been there at any time. *gg*

Mir geht es jedenfalls so. Ich bin, gerade wenn es das Schreiben betrifft, überhaupt nicht spontan und kreativ. Also habe ich als Trauzeugin gedacht, ich nehme den Gästen diese Last von den Schultern und lasse sie diese Aufgabe im Vorfeld erledigen. Dabei herausgekommen ist ein Ordner, in dem neben den Seiten der Gäste, auch noch die diversen Reden, Karten etc. eingeheftet werden können. Genommen habe ich einen qualitativ hochwertigen 4-Ring-Ordner und glänzende Prospekthüllen. Die sehen einfach edler aus als die "Standard-Hüllen" mit rauer Oberfläche. Und damit der Ordner nicht so schnöde daher kommt, hat einen schönen Einband bekommen.

That's mostly my feeling in this situation. I'm not very creative or spontaneous concerning writing. So, as my job as the maid of honor, I wanted to relieve the guest this burdon and let them do this before the wedding. So, there it is! A folder filled with the guest's pages and space for speeches, cards and so on. I took a high-quality 4-ring-folder and shiny punched pockets. You see the difference the "normal" one with rough surface. And to give the folder a nice look, I made a cover.

Hochzeitsquilt VII und FNSI

Der Freitag ist rum und nun möchte ich euch zeigen, was ich beim FNSI genäht und gestern fertiggestellt habe.

Friday is over and now, I like to show, what I have made during FNSI and got finished yesterday.

Es war ein bisschen schwierig, das Top aufzunehmen. Es ist 1,60 x 2,10 groß und ich hoffe, dass es dem Brautpaar gefallen wird.

It was a little bit difficulty to get a whole picture of the top. It measures  63" x 82" an I hope, the bridal couple will like it.

Ob ich das Top selber quilten werde oder aber zum Logarmquilten geben werde, bin ich mir noch nicht sicher. Da muss ich noch vier Wochen warten bis ich nicht mehr arbeiten "muss" und schauen, ob mein Kugelbauch mich dann noch vernünftig an die NäMa komme. *gg* Let's see!

If I will quilt the top by myself of if I will give it to a longarm-quilter, I don't know by now. I will have to wait the next four weeks until I don't "have" to work anymore. So I can have a look, if my baby tummy lets me sit at my sewing machine for a longer time. *gg* Let's see!

FNSI in June

Mein Gott, wie die Zeit verfliegt! Schon wieder ist ein Monat rum und das Hochzeitsquilt-Top ist immer noch nicht fertig. Wird aber langsam Zeit, denn nächste Woche Samstag ist schon die Hochzeit. *lalala* Zum Glück ist ja heute der 3. Freitag im Monat und das heißt "FNSI" bei Wendy! Wer ist noch dabei?

OMG, how time flies by! One month is already gone and the wedding-top isn't finished at all. But the wedding is next week's Saturday, so I have to hurry a little bit. *lalala* What a luck, it's the 3rd Friday of the month, so it's "FNSI" with Wendy! So, who of you will join us?

Nadelwelt 2016

Gesterm war es wieder soweit - der Besuch der Nadelwelt in Karlsruhe stand an! Und da ich nicht weiß, wie es im nächsten Jahr so damit zeitlich aussieht, habe ich es umso mehr genossen. Eigentlich wollte ich ja "nur" eine Schneidematte und ein paar Stoffe für den Wurm kaufen. Öh... ja...! Hat nicht so ganz geklappt. :D Aber eigentlich war das zu erwarten, oder? *ggg*

Yesterday was the day - the visit of the Nadelwelt at Karlsruhe! And because I cannot see the future, I don't know, if I can go there next year, I really enyjoyed it much more. Actually, I "just" wanted to buy a cutting-mat and some fabrics for the little boy. Ok...! I'm a little bit off target! :D But what did I expected? *ggg*

Besonders gefreut habe ich mich über das Treffen mit Sigrid und Marianne. Wir haben uns sogar mehrfach zum Klönen und Pause machen getroffen. Und bei der Gelegenheit hat Sigrid mir das wunder-, wunderschöne Kissen überreicht, dass ich bei Sigrids Blog-Geburtstag-Verlosung gewonnen habe. Hachz! Ist es nicht toll? Diese Stickerei ist einfach ein Traum und es wird einen Ehrenplatz bei mir erhalten.

I'm really hapy to meet Sigrid and Marianne. We actually met severeal time yesterday to pause and talk. And Sigrid gave me the pillow, which I've won during her blog-birthday-give-away. Such a beauty, isn't it? The stitchery is so amazing and I will give it a special place to be.

Außerdem habe ich noch Inge (ohne Blog) getroffen - bzw. sie hat mich gefunden - einige Bekannte aus Stuttgart und u.a. auch Marianne aus Köln, die mit ihrer Nähgruppe da war. Zufällig haben wir mittags am gleichen Tisch gesessen.

I also met Inge (without blog) - ok, she found me - some friends from Stuttgart and a.o. Marianne from Cologne, who visited the Nadelwelt with her sewing-bee. Randomly, we sat at the same table during lunch.

Zum Schluss sind wir auch noch etwas über die Ausstellung geschlendert. Dieses Jahr waren sie etwas durchwachsen, aber die Ausstellung von Janina Heschl hat mich besonders beeindruckt. Solche Bilder möchte ich auch einmal mit der Nähmaschine zaubern können.

In the end, we walked also through the exhibitions. This year, they were a little bit so-so, but the one by Janina Heschl was really amazing and impressed me a lot. Such pictures, I really want to create one day by myself.
