Erst einmal vielen, vielen Dank für die vielen Kommentare! Da bin ich ja beruhigt, dass ich nicht alleine bin. *gg* Ich hatte ja gehofft, dass es noch ein paar Verrückte da draußen gibt. Und sind wir mal ehrlich - in unserer unmittelbaren Nähen haben wir bestimmt ein paar Menschen, die uns für verrückt erklären, dass wir so eine Menge an Stoffe unser eigen nennen, sie zerschneiden, um sie dann wieder zusammen zu nähen.
First of all, I want to thank you so, so much for your many comments! I'm so glad, that I'm not alone. *gg* I hoped, that there are more like me there outside. And to be honest - everyone has someone around herself, who calls us crazy, because of the many fabrics and that we cut them into pieces to sew them together afterwards.
Unser Schatz wird kommenden Samstag schon ein halbes Jahr alt. Wahnsinn, wie schnell die Zeit verfliegt! In das geliehene Beistellbett passt er schon seit ein paar Wochen nicht mehr rein. Also haben wir sein Kinderbett rüber geholt. Jetzt brauchen wir aber doch ein eigenes Nestchen. Einige werden jetzt bestimmt sagen "Nein! Bloß nicht! Denk an den plötzlichen Kindstod!" Ja, ich habe auch überlegt, ob das gut ist. Jetzt kommt aber mein großes ABER:
a) Der Kleine schläft seitdem viel besser, weil es halt nicht mehr zieht.
b) Das Bett ist so groß, dass es gut durchlüftet wird. Und
c) Wenn das Bett an der Wand stehen würde, wären auch drei Seiten geschlossen.
Our little darling turns half a year next Saturday. Crazy, how time flies by! First we had a borrowed baby sidebed. But Rafi is to large for some weeks, so we exchanged it with the child bed. And by this, we need an own cot bumper. Some of you will scream "No! Don't use this! Think of the sudden infant death!" Yes, I thought about it. And here are my BUT:
a) The little boy sleeps much better since we use one, because there isn't any draft anymore.
b) The bed is really huge, so it's well aerated. And
c) If the bed would stand beneath a wall, there are also three sides closed.
Von einer guten Patchworkfreundin bekam ich einen halben Meter süßesten Schafstoff geschenkt. Den habe ich halbiert und grob gequiltet. Einfach ein schnelles Stippling drübergelegt und danach mit Schrägband eingefasst. Zum Befestigen noch Schrägband eingesetzt - seht ihr, dass es zwei Stoffe hat? Total cool!
I got some super cute fabric by a good quilting friend. I cut the half of a meter into two pieces and quilted it with big stippling. After this the binding was made with bias tape and also bias tape was used to fix the cot bumper to the bed. Gave you seen that it's made of two different fabrics? It's super cool!
Rafi liebt sein neues Nestchen und kann sich gar nicht satt sehen. Er hat auch versucht, die Luftballons zu greifen. Hoffentlich schläft er daneben überhaupt. *gg*
Rafi loves his new cot bumper and cannot get enough of it. He also tried to grap the balloons. I hope, he can sleep beneath it. *gg*
