neue Label

Gestern Abend hatte ich einen dicken Umschlag im Briefkasten. Ich habe mir neue Labels ***hier*** drucken lassen. Ich wollte immer mal welche, die man z.B. gut in die Taschenseiten einnähen lassen kann. Sie sind aus schwarzem Satinband und silbern bedruckt. Man kann die Größe in verschiedenen Kombinationen wählen und vorne und hinten unterschiedlich bedrucken lassen. Bei der Farbkombi ist man etwas eingeschränkt - schwarz/silber oder weiß/schwarz. Theoretisch gibt es eine Größe auch noch in bunten Farben, aber nur schwarz oder silbern bedruckt.
Ich hatte ja gedacht, es wäre eine US-Firma, da ich in US-Dollar bezahlt habe, jedoch ist der Sitz in Frankreich und dort kommen die Labels auch her. Die reine Lieferzeit ist daher deutlich kürzer gewesen als angegeben, jedoch musste ich zwischendurch nachhaken, warum die Labels denn noch nicht in Produktion gegangen sind. Die Antwort kam schnell und auf einmal waren auch die Labels am nächsten Tag im Drucker. Gefallen tun sie mir gut und vielleicht bestelle ich mir noch weiß/schwarze. Kostentechnisch kann man bei 35US$ für 100 Labels ink. Versand auch nicht meckern. Und gestern habe ich nun auch endlich dem Quilt für meine beste Freundin, der auch nach Karlsruhe geht, ein Binding verpasst und das erste Label gleich eingenäht.

Yesterday in the evening, I had a huge envelop into my mailbox. I had let printed some new labels ***here***. I always wanted some, which I can sew into the side of a bag. They are made by black satin ribbon and printed with silver color. You can choose different size-combinations and get differently printed front and back. The color-combinations are a little bit limited - black/silver and white/black. Theoretically there is one size with different ribbon-colors, but only black or silver printing.
I had thought, they are made in the US, because I paid with US-Dollar, but the head office is in France and there the labels are produced, too. The real delivery perdiod is really short because of this, but I had to ask, why the labels weren't in production after more than two weeks. The answer came really fast and one day later the labels were printed. I like them really much and maybe I will order some white/black, too. The price with 35 US$ incl. delivery for 100 labels is really fair. And yesterday I put the binding at the quilt for my best friend, which will be shown in Karlsruhe, and used the first label.

Wie vielleicht einige schon gesehen haben, habe ich eien Sicherheitsabfrage beim Kommentieren aktiviert. In letzter Zeit kam so viel Spam rein, dass ich es machen musste. Auf der anderen Seite wollte ich auch denjenigen, die kein Benutzerkonto von Blogger, Goggle o.ä. besitzen, nicht das Kommentieren verweigern. Ich hoffe, ihr stört euch nicht allzu sehr daran.
Maybe some of you have already seen, that the security query has been activated. During the last time, there was too much spam coming in, so I had to change something. On the other hand, I didn't want to take away the comment function to those, who doesn't have a Google, Blogger etc. acount. So, I hope, you won't be to bothered by this.
Am Wochenende habe ich nur einen Knopf angenäht - sonst nichts. Meine Schwester und mein Schwager waren zu Besuch und wir waren nur unterweg - Ulm, Blaubeuren, Sinsheim. Das Wetter hat zu 50% mitgespielt, so dass wir am Samstag bei viel Wind und noch mehr Sonne die 768 Stufen zur Spitze des Ulmer Münsters hochgestiegen sind. 
The last weekend I only sewed a buttom onto a bag of my sister - nothing else. My sister and my brother-in-law had visited us and we were on tour - Ulm, Blaubeuren, Sinsheim. The weather was quite nice at 50% of the time, so we could take the 768 steps of the cathedral of Ulm with heavy wind but also a lot of sunshine.

Meine Schwester hat mir den selbstgebauten Spulenhalter mitgebracht und natürlich ist er schon in Benutzung. :D

Bilder einer Ausstellung - "QuiltArt" Nürtingen 2015

Letzte Woche war wieder die "QuiltArt" in Nürtingen. Die Ausstellung findet alle drei Jahre statt und jedes Mal gibt es wunderbare Quilts zu sehen. Vor drei Jahren hatte z.B. Nana einen Quilt ausgestellt. Damals wusste ich aber gar nicht, wer Nana ist - heute schon fast unvorstellbar. ;o) Dieses Jahr hat u.a. Elsbeth Nusser-Lampe ausgestellt. Quilts mit Stoffen von Brigitte Heitland - sie designed die Stoffreihe "Zen Chic" für Moda und noch viele, viele schöne mehr. Toll war für mich - und das war der große Unterschied zu vor drei Jahren - dass ich nun inzwischen doch recht viele Leute kennengelernt habe. Es ist schon toll, wenn man nicht mehr so anonym über eine Ausstellung läuft und immer mal wieder mit lauter lieben Menschen ins Gespräch kommt.
Ich kann euch hier gar nicht alle Quilts zeigen. Von daher gibt es jetzt nur einen kleinen Teil.

Last week there was the "QuiltArt" in Nürtingen. The exhibition tooks place every third year and every time there are so beautiful quilts. Three years ago Nana exhibited a quilt for example. At then time I didn't know about Nana - nearly unthinkable today. ;o) This year, Elsbeth Nusser-Lampe exhibit f.e. Quilts made with fabrics by Brigitte Heitland - she designs the fabric line "Zen Chic" by Moda and so many, many more. It was fantastic in another way for me - compared to three years ago -, because now I got to know so many nice people in the meanwhile. It's so much fun not to be anonymous anymore at such an exhibition and to meet many lovely people and talk to them.
I can't show you all the quilts. So by this here is only a little part of  them.

Mal wieder ein paar "Rückblicke"

Letztes Wochenende hatte ich wieder ein wenig Zeit zum Quilten. Leider etwas weniger als das Wochenende davor, aber dafür gab es u.a. ca. 300 Quilts auf der "QuiltArt" in Nürtingen zu sehen. Das war schon ein gewisses Gegenargument. ;o) Bilder von Nürtingen kommen in den nächsten Tagen nach. Es war toll und die Quilts alle wirklich sehenswert!
Und da ihr ja wisst, von Vorne kann ich euch den Quilt (noch) nicht zeigen, aber den "Rückblick" auf die Rückseite. Es macht mir sehr viel Spaß mir die unterschiedlichen Muster zu überlegen und dann auf dem Top umzusetzen. Ideen hole ich mir bei Angela Walters und Judi Madsen.

Again some "reviews". Last weekend I had some time for quilting. Unfortunatelly a little more less than the weekend before, but against this there were among others 300 quilts at the "QuiltArt" in Nürtingen. ;o) Pictures of the exhibition will be here posted the next days and the quilts were all very beautiful!
And you know, I cannot show you the front of the quilt (until now), but the "reviews" at the back. It's so much fun to think about the patterns and to quilt them at the top. I got my ideas by Angela Walters and Judi Madsen.

Noch ein Mugrug ....

...und doch mein erstes. Erinnert ihr euch noch an den Jahreswechsel? Da konnte ich ja nicht an die Nähmaschine und habe mich deswegen im English Paper Piecing versucht. Es sollte ein kleines Weihnachtsgeschenk für eine gute Freundin werden. Morgen sehe ich sie nun seitdem endlich mal wieder und damit sollte auch der Mugrug mal endlich fertig werden.  Eigentlich wollte ich das am Wochenende machen, aber irgendwie habe ich an der Nähmaschine festgeklebt. ;) Aber dafür heute Abend. Im Eifer des Gefechts habe ich nur das Label falsch herum aufgenäht.

Another mugrug... but also my first one. Do you remember the time over new year? I couldn't sit at the sewing machine, so I tried a little bit the English Paper Piecing method. It should have been a little Christmas gift for a good friend of mine. Tomorrow we will meet each other since that time, so the mugrug should be finished. I wanted to finish it at the weekend, but I clued to the sewing machine.  ;) But now , I finished it this evening. Hurriing up for the finish, I sewed the label the top to bottom.
