Bilder einer Ausstellung in Baltmannsweiler

Ich bin euch immer noch Bilder von der Ausstellung in Baltmannsweiler schuldig. (Und da ich heute Abend mal ausnahmsweise ungestört an meinen Laptop kann (mein GöGa guckt Aliens2.... *brrrr*), nutze ich die Chance.) Ihr habt von dem Ort noch nie was gehört? Ich bis Mitte September auch nicht. Aber Sue von Sue's Quiltshop hat mich drauf aufmerksam gemacht, dass am 19./20.09.2014 in besagtem Dorf eine Quiltausstellung stattfindet und sie dort einen Stand hat. Also schnell Tante Google gefragt. Der Ort liegt hinter Esslingen und gar nicht so weit von uns entfernt. Also ab ins Auto und schnell hin. Eine Adresse hatte ich nicht, aber der Ort schien mir nicht so groß, das ich die Ausstellung nicht finden sollte und außerdem war sie super ausgeschildert. Das ganze wurde von der dortigen Quiltgruppe veranstaltet und es gab auch Kaffee und Kuchen. Und nun bitte tief durchatmen, denn es folgen nun "ein paar" Bilder. Wer die nicht anschauen will, kann hier schon wieder wegschauen. ;o) Viel Spaß!

I gain you some pictures of the exhibition in Baltmannsweiler. (And because I can use my own laptop today without being nerved (my husband watches Alien2 ... *brrr*) I'm taking my chance.) You've never heard of this town? Me neither until the mid of September. But Sue by Sue's Quiltshop indicated me, that on 19./20.09.2014 there would be a quilt-exhibition and that she would have a little booth there. So quickly ask aunt Google. The village is behind Esslingen and to far away from our hometown. So into the car and go. I had no adress, but thought, that it couldn't be to hard to find the exhibition at this little town and by this it was perfectly signposted. It was an event of the local quilting bee and you could get coffee and cake, too. And now, please take e deep breath, because there will be "just a few" pictures. Who doesn't want to see them, can start looking the other way right now. ;o) Have fun!

Neue Stoffe und die nächste Krabbeldecke

Zunächst einmal möchte ich mich wieder einmal bei euch für die vielen lieben Kommentare bedanken. Das Buch ist übrigens total toll und inspirierend. Und ich kann euch leider noch nicht erzählen, was aus den grünen Hexagons geworden ist. ;-) Und herzlich Willkommen an meine neuen Leser!

First I like to thank you for your many gently comments. The book is really great and a real inspiration. And unfortunately I still cannot tell you something new about the green hexagons. ;-) And a happy welcome to my new readers!

Ich war Freitag/Samstag in Berlin und da die Zeit kurz war, habe ich es mit meiner Freundin leider nur in das Geschäft "Knopfloch" in der Nähe dea Alexanderplatzs geschafft und nicht in mein favorisiertes Patchworkgeschäft. Aber ich habe doch ein paar Stöffchen gefunden. Süß, oder?

I was in Berlin last Friday and Saturday and because of not having much time, me and my friend could only visit the shop "Knopfloch" near Alexanderplatz and not my favorit patchwork-shop. But I have found some cute fabrics, haven't I? 

Und gerade habe ich dann das Top für die nächste Krabbeldecke fertig bekommen. In ein paar Tagen oder Wochen - wer weiß das schon so genau ;-) - bekommt ein Kollege von mir sein erstes Kind. Jetzt muss ich mich in den nächsten Tagen sputen, damit die Decke auch rechtzeitig fertig wird. 

And just this moment I finished the top of a new baby-quilt. During the next few days or weeks - who really knew ;-) - one of my colleges will get his first child. So I have zo hurry during the next day to finish zhe quilt in time.

Eine Zugfahrt, die ist lustig, ...

...eine Zugfahrt, die ist lang. Und damit frau sich nicht total langweilt, hat sie sich etwas zu nähen eingepackt. Bei Sandra habe ich ein ganz tolles, modernes Kissen mit aufgenähten Hexagons gesehen. Ich brauche ja immer noch ein neues Kissen für unser Sofa und die Variante finde ich ganz toll.  Also schnell im Internet recherchiert und auch die Anleitung dazu gefunden. (Den Link packe ich noch auf meine Tutorial -Seite wenn ich wieder zu hause bin.) Am Mittwoch hatte ich mir auch 3/4"Hexis gekauft und dann bei Uschi im Laden liegen lassen. Super! Naja, zu Hause hatte ich noch diese winzigen 1/2"-Hexis. Also ein paar grüne Batikreste eingepackt und rausgekommen  sind jetzt 23 grüne Hexagons. Zwei Ideen habe ich schon dazu. Ihr könnt ja mal raten.;o)

A train-travel is funny, a train-travel is long... (Sorry, in German it is a text, which fits perfectly on a song. In English the funny sense is unfortunately lost.) - To not be bored too much, I packed something to sew in my lugage. At Sandra's blog I saw a really great, modern pillow with sewed-on hexagons. I need another pillow for our sofa and I really like this variant. So I searched for a tutorial and found one quickly. (I will put the link to the tutorial-site when I'm back home.) On Wednesday, I bought some 3/4"-hexagons and forgot them at Uschi's shop. At home I had some itzy-bitzy 1/2"-hexagons. So I packed some green batik leftovers and here are 23 green hexagons. I have two ideas, what I will make out of them. If you want, you can have a guess. ;o)

Wenn das Handy zweimal klingelt...

...dann habe ich meist eine SMS bekommen. Und heute habe ich schon sehnsüchtig drauf gewartet. Wie praktisch, dass ich die Packstation von meinem Arbeitsplatz aus sehen kann. Da bin ich gleich runter und habe mir dieses Buch raus geholt. *freu* Einmal durchgeblättert habe ich auch schon. Heute Abend im Bett werde ich dann richtig schmökern, denn nach der Arbeit gehe ich zum Treffen der Cannstatt er Stichlinge.

If the mobile rings twice, most time I got a Sms. Today,I was awaiting this one. How useful, I can see the packing station by my working place. I had to go and carry the book. *smile* I once already  leafed through it. Today in the evening I will read at my bed, because today I will go to the quilting bee of the Canstatter Stichlinge.

Nachlieferung, noch mehr Täschchen und naja, schaut selbst...

Heute Morgen musste ich erst einmal meinen NYB-Block vom September nachliefern - also nähen. Dieses Mal in grün.
Today in the morning I had to deliver in addition/sew my September's NYB-block. This time in green.

Und so sehen meine vier Blöcke bis jetzt zusammen aus. So fleißig wie Alexandra war ich leider nicht.
And this is how my four blocks look at the moment. I wasn't as much busy as Alexandra.

Und dann habt ihr sicherlich bei Alexandra die süßen KrimsKrams-Taschen gesehen, oder? Nein?! Dann schnell ***hier*** schauen. Ich musste da heute auch gleich drei nähen. Eigentlich für meine Geschenkekiste, aber bei den Stoffen weiß ich gar nicht, ob ich die hergeben mag/kann. *ggg*
And you have surely seen the cute bits and peaces bags by Alexandra, don't you? No?! So, quickly have a look ***here***. I had to sew some immideatly. Actuatly they should find their way into my present-box, but because of the fabrics, I don't know, if I like to/can give them away. *ggg*

Beim Nähen musste ich feststellen, dass ich manchmal einfach zu blöd bin und meine Diva ganz schön viel Kraft hat. Meine Füßchen und Helferlein mussten heute auf jeden Fall sehr leiden, weil ich zu wenig Geduld hatte.
During sewing I had to realize, that I am sometimes not the full shilling and my diva is really strong. My feet and my little helpers had to suffer a lot today, because I was to impatiently.
