Die letzten Worte eines Quilterinnen-Ehemanns?

"Ich habe mal deine Blöcke zusammengepackt..." (und natürlich nicht in der richtigen Reihenfolge...) - So geschehen heute am frühen Nachmittag. Aber jetzt keine Angst - mein GöGa lebt noch! :D Ich hatte die Blöcke von gestern noch auf unserem improvisierten Couchtisch liegen und Besuch hatte sich angekündigt. Da wir alle noch nicht zu Mittag gegessen hatte, stand ich in der Küche und mein Mann wollte so lieb sein und aufräumen... Lieb gemeint und meinen Ruf "Die Blöcke räume ich selber weg!" wohl missverstanden, hat er sie gestapelt. O-Ton: "Ich habe auch auf die Reihenfolge geachtet!" Lieb, aber es war die falsche! :D Naja, zum Glück waren es nur 12 Blöcke. Die bekomme ich schon wieder sortiert. Ich muss gestehen, dass ich da manchmal etwas eigen bin, was die Ordnung solcher Dinge angeht - auch wenn ich es sonst nicht immer bin. *gg*

The last words of a quilters-husband? - "I put your blocks together..." (and not the right way for sure...) - This happened today during the early afternoon. But don't fear - my lovely husband is still alive! :D I had displayed them yesterday on our impromtu coffee table and a visitor had announced himself. Because we all had no lunch at all, I stood at the citche and my husband wanted to be a darling and tidy up the living room... Well-intended amd my calling "I tidy up the blocks by myself!" he missunderstood this and stapled them. He said: "I also followed the order!" Well-intended, but the wrong one! :D Ok, fortunately there are only 12 blocks. I will resort them. I must admit, that I'm sometimes a little bit strange, when it comes to my order, although I'm not straight in this. *gg*

Durch den Besuch - über den wir uns sehr gefreut haben - war ich heute nicht an der Nähmaschine. Morgen vielleicht wieder. Aber da ich Euch nichts genähtes anzeigen kann, möchte ich Euch ein neues Buch zeigen, dass ich mir noch vor Weihnachten gekauft habe. Es ist mal wieder ein ganz tolles Buch zum Inspirationen holen. Es heißt "Grafitti Quilting - a simple guide to complex designs" von Karlee Porter. Ganz tolle Ideen und eine erfrischende Art zu Quilten. Entdeckt hatte ich es auf Karlees Seite. Mir gefallen besonders die Regenbogenfarbenen modernen Wholecloths. (Die Fotos sind von ihrer Seite und dort gibt es noch viele mehr zu bewundern.) Wenn ich mal groß bin und Zeit habe, werde ich auch mal so tolle Quilts machen. ;)

Because of the visit - which we really enjoyed - I haven't sewn sewn anything. Maybe tomorrow. And while I cannot show you something sewn, I like to show you a new book, which I bought before Christmas. It is again an amazing book for getting new inspirations. It's called "Grafitti Quilting - a simple guide to complex designs" by Karlee Porter. Such great ideas and such an refreshing new way for quilting. I found it at Karlees page. I like the rainbow-colored modern wholecloths. (The pictures are by her page and there you can see much more there.) If I will be a big girl and if I will have time, then I will make such great quilts, too. ;)

Ich habe mich entschlossen, noch eine zusätzliche Seite oben einzurichten, auf der ich die Bücher auflisten werde, die ich so im Laufe der Zeit vorstellen werde. Ich finde es immer sehr interessant, was es so alles gibt und da man die meisten PW-Bücher nicht in Läden anschauen kann, freue ich mich auch immer über Tipps für neue Inspirationen auf anderen Seiten.

I decided to add a new page above, on which I will list the books, which I will show you during the next time. I'm always fascinated how many different kinds of books are there and because you cannot look inside most of them, I always happy about tips for new inspirations on other pages.
