Those of you, who follow the QAL "6 Köpfe - 12 Blöcle", got wonderful tips during the last days:

Gesine zeigt u.a. zwei Varianten von Design-Boards. Die erste kannte ich und habe ich heute endlich mal umgesetzt. Als feste Mitte habe ich ein Pappelbrett genommen und von beiden Seiten Thermolan mit Holzleim aufgeklebt. Auch das Schrägband habe ich angeklebt. Also nicht genäht, aber für meine Blöckchen endlich ein kleines Sortierbrettchen. Es ist etwas größer als DIN-A-5; größer war mein Brett einfach nicht.

Gesine shows beneath others two versions of design boards. The first is one I already know and today, I made one. In the middle I used a thin poplar board and on both side Thermolan glued with wood glue. Also the bias tape had been glued. So nothing sewn, but a wonderful help for my blocks. It's a little bit larger than DIN-A-5; my board wasn't larger.

Das von Gesine vorgestellte Roll-Design-Board werde ich auch bei Gelegenheit nähen. Vielleicht mit zusätzlichen Schlaufen, um es aufhängen zu können?! Aber es wird auf jeden Fall kleiner - 15" x 30" finde ich doch etwas riesig.

The roll-up design board will be sewn, too, in a while. Maybe with additional loops, so I can hook-up it?! For sure, it will be smaller than 15" x 30" - that's to large for me.

Außerdem habe ich heute etwas aufgeräumt, umsortiert und dabei meinen Katzenquilt aufgehängt, den ich in einem kleinen QAL mit Martina von "Stufen zum Gericht" zusammen in 2014 genäht habe. Martina, ist deiner eigentlich fertig? Ich kann mich gar nicht an den fertigen Quilt erinnern... ;-)

I also tidied up and sorted my things and also hook-up my cat quilt, which I've sewn in a little QAL with Martina of "Stufen zum Gericht" in 2014. Martina, did you finished it? I cannot remember the finished quilt... ;-)

6 Köpfe - 12 Blöcke - der Januar Block "Rolling Stone"

Meine ToDo-Liste ist erst einmal abgearbeitet. Heute Abend habe ich den Januar-Block für den QAL "6 Köpfe - 12 Blöcke" genäht. Es ist der "Rolling Stone". Mein Block ist aber eine Mini-Version und wird später 3" groß sein. Bei den Stoffen habe ich mich für Schwarz und Grau als Hintergrund und zusätzlich grüne und blaue Oakshotts entschieden.

My todo-list is done! Today in the evening I've sewn January's block of the QAL "6 Köpfe - 12 Blöcke". It's the "rolling stone". My block is a mini-version and will be 3" finished. I used black and gray fabrics for the background and some blue and green Oakshotts.

Die Anleitung für diesen Block hat Dorthe von Lalala-Patchwork geschrieben. Sie ist super, aber ich habe mich entschieden, den Block teilweise via Paper Piecing zu nähen. So sind die kleinen Ecken wunderbar sauber geworden. Als Vorlage zum Nähen habe ich die Ausmalvorlage genommen und um 50% verkleinert. Schaut mal, was das für Papierschnippselchen verursacht.

The tutorial for this block was written by Dorthe by Lalala-Patchwork. It's really great done, but I decided to sew it via Paper Piecing. So the little corners are turned out really well. As pattern, I used the crayon-template and reduced the size to 50%. See, how many itsy-bitsy paper pieces has been left-over.

Jetzt freue ich mich schon auf Februar und bin gespannt, was dann genäht wird. Der Block kommt dann von Nadra von ellis&higgs.

FNSI - eine Einkaufstasche für den TASL2017

Am Freitag war ja wieder FNSI. Da wir lieben Besuch hatten, habe ich das ganze auf die eine Stunde am frühen Samstagabend verschoben als unser Kleiner eine Runde geschlafen hatte und der nächste Besuch noch nicht da war. Entstanden ist eine Einkaufstasche, die man mit Gummiband und Knopf klein zusammenrollen kann, so dass sie in nahezu jede Handtasche passt. Als ich gerade als letztes das Label fast angenäht hatte, klingelte es und der nächste Besuch stand vor der Tür. Für sie war auch die Einkaufstasche. Eigentlich hat sie erst nächsten Mittwoch Geburtstag, aber ich wollte wissen, ob ihr die Farbkombi gefällt. Tut sie! :D

On Friday it was FNSI time.We had a very nice visitor, so I pushed it to the early Saturday evening, when our little boy was sleeping for around one hour and the next visitor hadn't arrived yet. I sew a little tote bag, which you can roll-up and fix it with a elastic and a botton. So it fits nearly in every pouch. Sewing the label to the tote bag, the door bell rang and the next visit arrived. I made the tote bag for her birthday next Wednesday, but couldn't resist to give it to her right now, so I can see her reaction. And she likes it! :D

Und somit habe ich gleich zwei von drei Punkten auf meiner ToDo-Liste abgehakt: FNSI und TSAL2017. Ich habe übrigens festgestellt, dass ich vielleicht doch nicht nachts beim Stillen im Bett schreiben sollte. *gg* Anscheinend habe ich mich so ausgedrückt, dass viele dachten, dass mich das stresst. Nein! Ich war nur "überrascht", dass der Januar schon wieder halb rum war. Es sind ja alles kleine Projekte und kein Zwang dabei. Von daher sehe ich das alles locker und entspannt. :D

And so, I finished two points of my todo-list: FNSI and TSAL2017 And I got to know, that I should maybe not write some posts in the night during breastfeeding. *gg* It seems, that I used a not-quite-correct term, so some of you thought my plans are stressful to me. No! I was only "surprised" that half of January was already gone. All of my projects are totally free and without any constraints. So, everything is fine and I'm totally relaxed. :D

ToDo-Liste und FNSI

Der Januar geht mit strammen Schritten aufs Monatsende zu und ich habe nichts von meiner Liste genäht:
- 1 Block für QAL "6 Köpfe - 12 Blöcke"
- 1 Einkaufstasche für den TSAL2017 (wird ein Geschenk)
- Top für die nächste Krabbeldecke anfangen (das nächste Kind ist im Freundeskreis unterwegs. Die Stoffe sind geschnitten und müssen 'nur' noch sortiert und zusammengenäht werden.)
Also werde ich mal schauen, was ich beim FNSI von Wendy so schaffe, denn wir bekommen auch noch Besuch.

January is going straight to the end and haven't sewn anything of my to-do-list:

- 1 block for the qal "6 Köpfe - 12 Blöcke"

- 1 tote bag for the TSAL2017 (that will be a present)

- top for the next baby blanket (the next baby in our circle of friends is on the way and expected for Fabruary. The fabrics are cut and will "just" have to be sewn together.)

So, let's see, if I can join the FNSI by Wendy, because we will have a visitor at Friday night, too.

Mal wieder was für Rafael

Ich wünsche euch noch alles Gute für 2017! Zwar ist das Jahr schon ein paar Tage alt, aber genäht habe ich erst gestern das erste Mal... und das seit Mitte Dezember. Meine Mutter besitzt ja aich eine Nähmaschine, aber Rafael befindet sich gerade 'in eoner schwierigen Phase', wie es so schön heißt - also in einem Entwicklungsschub. Und da ihm wohl die ersten Zähnchen kommen und er quasi einen Wasserfall im Mund hat, habe ich gestern Abend ein Sabbertuch genäht.

I wish you all the best for the new year! Although the year is already some days old, I haven't sewn a thing until yesterday evening - ok since middle of December to be honest. Rafael is in a bad mood at the moment - one of the leaps of development. And because it seems, that he is getting his first teeth and he seems to have a waterfall right into his mouth, I sewed a slobbering scarf for him.
