The rain in Spain stays mainly in the plain! (Sorry, in German it makes more sence to what I like to talk about. It's something like "It's so green if the Spain's flowers bloom!") So, the green blocks clattered out of the sewing machine today! ;o) For my next big project I've sewn some nine patches again. This time with the green fabrics, whereat the different shades were much difficult to differ than the blue one.

I'm using my new number needles to sew the nine patches. They are very helpful in choosing the fabric combinations, so there won't be to much equal blocks.

Yesterday a good friend of mine visited us. During talking a little bit about this and that, and so she told me, that she always have to change the content of her little pouch. It was clear, she needed a second little pouch. So, she looked for a fabric she liked and I've sewn a new littel pouch today, which will go to the green week by Emma.

Mal schauen, was ich schaffe. Ansonsten kann ich das ja noch nachholen.

Next week it's all about "red/pink/rose". Because there won't be an extra week about "velvet", I will add this color, too. So, I would have to sew the red AND the velvet nine patches, but I think there won't be either one of them finished, because the next week is a short one for me. It's only about three days and than for days at Hamburg. I'm so happy about it. Let's have a look what I will reach. And if it's "not enough", I can catch it up.

And last but not least a really HUGE thank you to all your comments abouut the Tula Pink Layout and the moorland sheep. My sister is very happy about your compliments, too, although this first moorland sheep wasn't as easy as she thought. She had just begun to crochet again, because she really don't want to try to sew at the sewing machine and I cannot crochet or knit because of a typewriter's cramp.

Tula Pink - neu sortiert

This evening I thought I could sew- and then we got a really lovely visit. A good friend of us, who always liked to have a look at my new sewn Tula Pink blocks. So, we got on our knees today and sorted the blocks by the book pattern...

and sorted... and sorted... and sorted... and finished with this new layout. That was our favourite and now I can begin to sew my top together. But on the other hand, we will get the next visit tomorrow - so not so much time for sewing again and this time, I will have to play on other things first. You will see! :D

My sister and my brother-in-law have already arrived here at Stuttgart because of the bad wheather during their vacation. And my sister took the crochet hook with them and crocheted this super cute moorland sheep!!! And the light wool is a made by sheep wool, which our mother had spun.

*gg*

This week "green" is the color for "spring-cleaning at the fabric board" with Emma. And by this green pouches had been sewwn today. This work, I don't have to think about, so I can think about the pillow swap and other things. From today on, the pillows should be shipped, but, because of the last three week, I'm not ready. But now, I know, how I will finish it and hope to ship all this week. One goodie (you can really find it into the German version of the Oxford English Dictionary!) is already finished. Three hodgepotch pouches have been sewn (and one of them is already reserved) and this evening I've sewn my very first round pouch as a birthday present for a good friend of mine. Not green at the outside, but inside. (Can you imagine, that she is also a very huge sheep fan like me?) ;o) And a little pendant has been made. - To much girly for my husband. *gg*

After only cutting batting for my little hodgepotch purses yesterday, I have sewn within one hour three - of course blue - purses. Even the lining is blue. ;o) And with this, I will link up to Emmas spring-cleaning of the fabric board.

Stempel

And me again! *gg* This week, I'm still at home. So, I let no grass grow under one's feet and try to post as much as possible. Today I will be most time on the couch and will relax. But yesterday, beneath the new purse, I opened my own stamp-studio. At the Nadelwelt, I bought a stamp-starter-kit and yesterday I had to give it a try.

I bought two different materials. The round stamp-model is softer than the plates - they are nearly like linoleum. My personal favorite are the plates. It reminds me more printing with linoleum like in school and the edges are more exact. (Ok, the lines could be more sharp. But it was my first try after nearly 18 years and it's really ok. And for 8,50€ you cannot expect to much for five blades.) It was not possible to let the sharp lines stand alone with the soft material. The negative-printing or the big areas aren't the worst for this material. But if you want fine and sharp lines (1-2mm) you should use the more solid plates.

Emma called out for "spring-cleaning at the fabric board" and this week it's the color "blue".

How useful, that I should ... oh... may begin my new project for the exhibition of the Cannstatter Stichlinge next October. So, I pulled out the fat eight bundle Lipari Oakshots and sewed the blue fabrics together with black to 45 nine patches. At the picture you can see "only" 24. Next week, the color "green" will be the color of the week. Then I can sew the next 45 squares.

Today, I have sewn another little purse for our new navigation system incl. the external battery for on the road. The fabric, I had bought it in Dinkelsbühl at the shop by StoffArt and I'd knewn from the beginning, that this would be purse fabric. Et voilà! This was the first time, I used "Soft & Stable". A very interessting and great batting, which makes the purse really stable and protects wonderful. What I don't like, are the raw edges inside the purse. Normally, I tried to prevent them, but this time, I couldn't. But I really like the outside pocket. And I also used my new labels for it.

Oh, my deer! I'm soooo thankful to all your comments and e-mails during the last weeks! Especially during the last days I blushed several times and I couldn't resist to smile. It was really good to my little soul and my little ego. The last three weeks weren't the best of our life. It showed us, that all can come faster to an end, than you can imagine. So, me and my husband like to send you big thanks to all of you, who kept me and my husband so gently in your mind. Above all Martina and Jeannette, who actuated their sewing machines for us! Let's have a look, what they have sewn. I'm sorry, not to write more at this moment, but I'm not ready right now. Maybe later! I'm fine according to the circumstances - don't worry - and I hope, I'm totally fine next week. I'm really confident! And as the saying goes? "Fall, Stand Up, Fitting the Crown and Go On!"

But now, stop the moaning! So, I will show you, what I bought at Karlsruhe. Grete by Stoffsalat has a unutterable offer for Aurifil thread - 12 big spools for 80,-€ and you can choose the colors for your own - is this an offer, you can resist? I didn't and many others either as I could see. At home I had to pull out my other Aurifil threads and make some pictures. Have a look - I have to smile.

But you don't really think, that this was everything, do you? *gg* So, here is the rest: a really great scissor by Gingher - but be careful if my husband will use it ;P - some nice fabrics and charms and a starter set for self-made stamping and stamping color. I like to try to make a stamp with my moorland sheep - so I can label my quilts really individually.

Today a parcel from the USA has been arrived. I beat about the bush for a long time about the Robert Kaufmann Kona Cotton Fat Quarter Bundles at Craftsy. Asking Grit about her experiences and ordered. And only 8 days after they arrived - *sigh* 73 (!!!) different colors - and sorry, normally I always support my local or German shops. But if the savings are about 40-50€ (and I didn't include the time for searching the different fabrics), then I will cheat on.

Last but not least, I was really happy to meet and get to know some of you in Karlsruhe. At Saturday  Brigitte by Rote Schnegge came to our exhibition. That was funny, because of a little confusion, because she came to us when I washed my hands and Conny has red curls, too. On Sunday, I met Eva, Sandra and Sabine. OMG, it was so much fun to get some faces to names! We had so much fun together and I really like meet again.

There are so many other amazing exhibitions in Karlsruhe, that I cannot remember everything. But thankfully, there is a really good catalog every year for free (!!! - at the Creativa f.e. you have to pay for it) with all maker, all shops and a map. Very useful, if you search a special shop after a while and the only thing that you know is, that the shop was a this corner and along this corridor. ;) And now, again lots of pictures with beautiful quilts. I like the quilts by the Japanese Shizuko Kuroha, who was in Karslruhe personally, most.
